- nomlog editorial department
It's finally 2022, and there are only a few left in 2021. The corona disaster is still going on, but how are you, nomlog readers?
I haven't had a chance to introduce it until now, but nomlog editorial department is run by volunteer members of NOMURA Co., Ltd. 's planners and the public relations department. The editorial meetings held twice a month are mainly online, but at the end of 2021, the members gathered in real life for the first time in a while to review the articles so far. In this article, we will introduce 3 recommended articles by each editorial staff member along with their comments.
First of all, we will start with three selections by young editor Yuga Okamoto.
(1) Story/mind in space creation that cannot be conveyed in completed photos
(2) Communicate the role of the planner/reason of existence
③ The personality of the person who wrote the article is oozing out
Here are the articles selected from the above three perspectives.
1, Ginger ale at the shrine! How to create hit products that go viral Kenichi Sakazume
An article where you can learn about the wide range of work of planners who are involved not only in space, which is the main business of NOMURA Co., Ltd., but also in product planning and development. You can get a glimpse of the thought process behind naming and the commitment Mr. Sakazume has to his products.
It seems that this article was a sense of speed of one week from writing to posting.
Editor Hiroko Okazaki also recommended it.
2, “What is an exhibition?” exchanged with a passionate curator Yuki Shimokuni
An article with a new perspective of the exhibition space that the curator thinks. Shimokuni's handwritten report is also worth seeing.
3. Physical and virtual density Souichi Yoshitake
He talks about the anticipatory theme of the mirror world in a tone that mixes Yoshitake's passion and seriousness. The easy-to-understand explanation of "concentration" for the physical ↔ virtual future is a must-read.
Editor Hideki Sato recommended an article written by Okamoto. nomlog is also very active as a photographer for photos posted in articles. I chose 3 articles that cut out casual everyday stories from a unique perspective.
1, Looking for a story about life Yuga Okamoto
The impact that begins with a photo of cup yakisoba! The planner's intention of "Yuga Okamoto" drifts from the screen along with the "fragrance of yakisoba". An article that feels the ingenuity to read.
2, Valuing "ambiguous business terms" vol.1 Takahito Abe
With hand-drawn illustrations, the strangeness of "reader-grabbing" entering from "Osunobi's three-stage utilization" is wonderful.
It says vol.1, so look forward to vol.2! !
3. Masayuki Yoshida Fieldwork Drunken Tale
nomlog 's unique story-style documentary expression is fresh and shocking!
It is recommended to read while imagining your favorite actor as the role of "teacher" who appears in the story.
The true value of everyday material is Hideki's Yuru Yuru Nagisa Poke series written by Satou. Selected by editor Atsuro Iizuka, who became a member this year. Here are three selections by Iizuka editor.
1, Hideki's Yuruyuru Nagisahoki / ep5 - Beached Garbage Encyclopedia Sato Hideki
The discovery that there are so many interesting things lying around in our daily lives. The fun of expanding the story one by one from anything. This is the way of looking at the world that is required of planners, focusing on small events around them! An article that makes you feel.
2. Raise employee health awareness at the workplace. Yuga Okamoto
From the selection of products to be sold at NOMURA Co., Ltd. 's RE/SP2, to collaboration with external people, this article gives a glimpse of the work that seems to be very fun. The atmosphere of Nomura's office is also transmitted.
3. Corona misfortune home event! Making your own tiramisu Julia (Zhou Hong)
An article with a high degree of happiness that gives a glimpse of Julia's happy everyday life.
Julia's article was the first article edited by Editor Iizuka, and was very well received within the company. Editor Eri Morita and Ichikawa, who is in charge of this summary article, are also included in the three selections.
Now, three selections by editor Eri Morita.
1. Corona misfortune home event! Make your own tiramisu Julia (Zhou Hong)
It is very interesting that "tiramisu" and "planning", which seem to be far away from planning, are connected.
2, The place of learning is always open Wakako Satake
Introducing the efforts of the science museum that is closed due to the corona wreck. An article that makes you feel the desire to entertain someone, among the three secrets of creating a place of learning that you can feel from "Ouchi DE Miraira".
Mr. Satake's articles were also selected by editor Kahoko Koike, who joined the magazine this year as well as editor Iizuka.
3. SDGs, Business, and Spatial Creation Ryuta Ohashi
It simply unravels the SDGs from our company's point of view, and the themes such as the importance of green infrastructure are depicted in a very easy-to-understand manner.
1. Corona misfortune home event! Make your own tiramisu Julia (Zhou Hong)
An article that conveys Julia's love for home and work. I also want to try the original recipe introduced in the article.
2, When I came back from China with the new corona, I could see more about China. Moe Murakami
Recommended for those who are involved in Chinese business in the future.
3. How to create a place for everyone to learn from "Kageoka House" Satoko Yokota
I have used Kageoka's house several times during my maternity leave, and it was a very comfortable facility. It was helpful to understand the background of creating the place.
Editor Hiroko Okazaki selected the article written by Ichikawa after maternity leave.
The point of selecting 3 articles is that the insight of the planner is conveyed.
1, Corona and children's outing space Ai Ichikawa
nomlog 's spatial insights are connected to the concerns that moms have about child-rearing due to the corona crisis. The article read by many people also showed the trend of the corona misfortune.
2, Ginger ale at the shrine! How to create hit products that go viral Kenichi Sakazume
In the looseness that can be read lightly, there are many professional insights on product creation that can only be written by Mr. Sakazume. This is not an article for everyone.
3. Tokyo Circuit Souji Tominaga
Rather than simply organizing urban transformation, we set the area of human activity in Tokyo as a "triangle zone" and defined the downtown area from a unique perspective. Mr. Tominaga is disseminating his unique insights.
Editor Kahoko Koike also chose Tominaga's article.
1. Tokyo Circuit Souji Tominaga
At the first triangle drawing, I was drawn in by Tominaga's interest. The change of times is also an interesting consideration unique to the downtown area.
2, Things that can be passed on -Domestic/World Expositions and Exposition Materials COLLECTION Atsuko Ishikawa
While other articles are reporting on the present, it is interesting to go back in time and tell glimpses of Nomura's hot days of Shippuuroku. The article made me realize that I tended to think about my current location and the theme ahead.
3. The place of learning is always open Wakako Satake
“However, I myself would like to quickly say to the exhibits, 'I finally met you. ``I was very impressed with the last part of the article, and I felt very good after reading it! The article left an impression on me, not because it was an introduction to cultural facilities or case studies, but because it was based on content and people-centered perspectives, and how I conveyed my thoughts.
Next is Konomi Taki, the only editorial staff member of the Osaka office. I am in charge of articles about employees belonging to the Osaka office. We don't have many opportunities to meet Tokyo members, so all the editorial staff were looking forward to the real meeting!
1, go fishing. Kyohei Kishida
Simple and easy to read, it conveys the passion of the planner. It's interesting that the beginning is also useful. I was relieved to find an article with an honest message among many of the articles that were thought-provoking.
Mr. Kishida's article was also selected by Satoko Yokota, Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
2. How to make use of the estimated reach of 100 million. Hiroyoshi Mima
First of all, the article title is cool. I realized again that headlines (invitations) that make people want to read are more important for online articles. It is also interesting to note that museums will be valued not only for the number of visitors, but also for the attractiveness of their exhibitions.
Editor-in-Chief Setsu Tanaka also selected Mima's articles.
3. Satoko Yokota , an interesting space series
Royal road as a spatial display company? This is the theme of the article, and it is carefully told from the perspective of a planner, and it is a wonderful article full of warm personality. I can't go to the exhibition held in Tokyo, so I'm happy to be able to input the latest ideas.
Now, we are left with three selections: the deputy editor-in-chief, the first editor-in-chief, and the current editor-in-chief.
This is what Assistant Editor Satoko Yokota chose.
1, go fishing. Kyohei Kishida
The depiction of fishing at the beginning of the story and the development that leads to the planning of the exhibition are interesting, and you can feel Kishida's passion for creating a museum.
2, Invitation to the wonders of nature starting from adult independent research and dining table Toko Takeuchi
The word "free research for adults" grabbed my attention. I felt sympathy for his attitude of searching for what he likes even after becoming an adult.
3. Entrance to an exhibition of historical and cultural delusions linked by food Mima Inagaki
It is unique in that it introduces the history of food culture through "sunki pickles" and the deep perspective of feeling the connection between people in the region and the process of actually pickling.
1, The Arrival of the Sports Entertainment Space 2.0 Era (Part 1 and Part 2) Tetsuro Yasuda
The content is interesting above all with an exquisite niche degree that can not be found in books with similar themes.
2, BIM WORKSHOP – Let's create an in-house communication space BIM room
An article that introduces Nomura's BIM efforts with realism and depth.
3. What is the evolution of spatial experience through sound led by otorea? (Part 1/2) Jiro Takano
An article that conveys the collaboration with GATARI in an easy-to-understand manner.
At the end of the retrospective, there are three selections by editor-in-chief Setsu Tanaka.
All articles are highly professional and convey the individuality of the writer.
1, What Lies Beyond "Unknown" -Travelogue on the Origin of Spatial Experience- Yuuichi Kameyama
A thought-provoking article from a planner who has worked on cultural exhibition spaces, exploring the origins of spatial experiences, verbalizing and sharing them, using museums and exhibitions as examples.
2. How to make use of the estimated reach of 100 million. Hiroyoshi Mima
An article unique to a planning director who continues to create content while pursuing the fusion and possibilities of real and digital, such as questioning the goals of facility management based on the ripple analysis of Twitter posts.
3. The world of space production opened up by BIM BIM room
A good article that appeals from the perspective of business process reform of space production companies, such as how to perceive BIM as a company and how to make it take root in the company.
Looking back at the three selections selected by each editorial staff, the articles that highlighted the perspectives of Nomura employees as professionals in the space and the individuality of the writers stood out.
nomlog editorial department will continue to deliver articles by Nomura's unique employees in 2022. Thank you for your continued nomlog in 2022!
