The 2025 one-day internship for sales staff (for those graduating in 2027) was held as a half-day afternoon program that allowed participants to experience the work of NOMURA Co., Ltd., Ltd. and interact with employees. The program included a company introduction, group work, panel talks by senior employees, and roundtable discussions, allowing participants to get up close and personal with the work that goes into creating spaces.

Opening (company overview and job description)
On the day of the event, students from all over the country gathered at the venue with a slightly nervous look on their faces. There was a mixture of excitement and nervousness in the air as they visited the office for the first time and met NOMURA Co., Ltd. employees. The program began with greetings and self-introductions from the recruitment staff.
At the beginning, we introduced NOMURA Co., Ltd. 's business activities and the role of its sales staff. NOMURA Co., Ltd., Ltd. is a company that creates spaces in a wide range of fields, including commercial facilities, cultural facilities, and exhibition spaces. Rather than simply designing and constructing spaces, we are involved from the planning stage, and aim to create value through spaces by listening closely to the client's challenges and aspirations. Within this, sales staff are responsible for promoting projects while coordinating with stakeholders both inside and outside the company.

Group work (project management experience)
In the middle of the internship, the participating students conducted group work. The purpose of this work was to give them a hands-on experience of the basic concepts and procedures of project management using teaching materials in the form of a board game.

Although it was in the form of a game, the content allowed students to have fun while learning about management elements such as decision-making as the project progresses, the allocation of roles within the team, and risk response, and the students worked hard with serious expressions on their faces.Although the format was different from actual work, it seemed to be an opportunity for them to develop the perspective and judgment skills necessary to run a project.
Through this workshop, the atmosphere gradually became more relaxed and students naturally began to interact with each other.
Senior employees will be speaking (presenting achievements, panel talks, individual Q&A sessions)
After the group work, a panel discussion followed, with young employees active at NOMURA Co., Ltd. introducing their achievements. A young employee working in sales and promoting projects on-site took the stage and spoke about how to proceed with a project, how to interact with people both inside and outside the company, and what makes the job rewarding, based on an actual project he was in charge of.

The following panel discussion covered topics of interest to the students, such as "Why did you become interested in the display industry?", "Why did you join NOMURA Co., Ltd. Ltd.?", "What would you like to challenge yourself with in the future?", and "What message would you give to students?" It was impressive to see the students listening intently to the frank comments of the employees who spoke.

At the end of the session, there was a Q&A session and individual roundtable discussions, which allowed students to get closer to employees, with some saying things like, "It was great to hear real stories from the workplace," and "I got a feel for the atmosphere among employees."

summary
For the first time in this internship, we introduced group work in the form of a board game, which allowed students to experience the concept of project management. Although it did not deal with the creation of the space itself, we believe that the students were able to experience what it means to run a project as a team through the process of thinking, making decisions, and moving forward on their own.
Through this experience, we believe that the students were able to gain a more real understanding of the essential roles required of sales staff at NOMURA Co., Ltd., such as the ability to drive projects forward and team management skills.
Furthermore, it was a great benefit for us in the recruitment department to have the students experience the rewards of work, career paths, and the atmosphere of working at NOMURA Co., Ltd. through conversations with senior employees. If the students were able to imagine, even if only a little, what it would be like to work at our company, then I feel that this internship was very meaningful.
