3 am. I was in the sea of Noto Peninsula, Ishikawa Prefecture.
starry skies. calm waves. The sound of the engine cuts open the sky and the sea.
Dozens of black-tailed gulls fly at almost the same speed to surround the fishing boat,
It looks like it's suspended in mid-air.
After running for about 20 minutes, the boat stopped and fishing began. The fishing grounds were surprisingly close.
Black-tailed gulls aim for prey from behind the fisherman.
Black-tailed gulls don't run away even if you reach out and reach them.
They are supposed to be wild, but they are accustomed to humans.
Steam was rising from the body of the fisherman even though it was midwinter.
Sorry for the delay.
I am not a fisherman, a documentary filmmaker, or a TV program director.
I am in charge of planning museums and publicity facilities.
For me, "planning" starts from the site like this.
I would like to cherish small questions, discoveries, and surprises at the site when planning. I think.
This time, I was involved in the planning of the exhibition, from design to completion.
Based on the experience at "Noto Satoyama Satoumi Museum"
Making a museum is fun!
I will tell you that.
Satoyama Satoumi in Japan.
Satoyama and Satoumi only here.

The Noto Satoyama Satoumi Museum is located in Nanao City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
It is a facility with the theme of Satoyama Satoumi of Noto Peninsula.
The first image I had of Satoyama Satoumi, living in the city, was
It is a relaxing environment surrounded by rich nature.
The food, water, and air are delicious, and I would like to live there someday.
Satoyama and Satoumi can be found all over Japan. There are even all over the world.
What are the characteristics of Satoyama Satoumi of "Noto"?
I can't find it on the internet either. Even after reading the book, I still don't understand.
So, I listened to the story of a local curator, actually walked in Satoyama, accompanied Satoumi fishing,
I had a meal with the locals and thoroughly conducted field surveys and interviews.
Then, the seed of an interesting exhibition was rolling at the site.
The night sky is filled with stars that you have never seen before, and the superb view of the ocean from the terraced rice fields.
The scenery that Kenshin Uesugi once wished for in the city seen from Yamashiro.
It goes without saying that the charcoal-grilled Noto oysters and burikama set meals are delicious.
While there is such charm,
In recent years, there have been sightings of bears that were not originally found in satoyama because they cannot be cared for by humans.
Due to depopulation, the number of festivals has decreased, and the festival has changed from a festival to watch to a festival to participate in, and tourists are now actively participating.
Therefore, in order to convey the real life of Noto Satoyama Satoumi,
We arranged the stuffed animals and specimens that had been stored in large quantities in the room, and changed the room we had planned to be "Living things of Satoyama and Satoumi".
I expressed the "Living in Satoyama Satoumi" corner.
The voice of the scene
It teaches the real of Noto Satoyama Satoumi.

At that time, I was writing a draft of the commentary to be installed in the museum based on the surprises I discovered at the site.
For the bear exhibit,
"A bear came from Kaga."
There are no bears on the Noto Peninsula. It was said. However, in 2012, five bear sightings were reported. There have even been sightings of bears on Noto Island (*Noto Island is an island floating in Nanao Bay on the Noto Peninsula. It is connected to land by two bridges.). Believe it or not, it is said that he swam back across the ocean. Why did the bear come to Nanao City? Did the abundant rice attract bears to Nanao? Do bears live well? Has the ecological balance collapsed due to changes in the satoyama environment?
For the exhibition of happi coats
"It's not just tradition that we protect."
Due to depopulation, the number of bearers of festivals is decreasing. But when it comes to the festival season, many tourists participate and enjoy themselves. It is important to both pass down the festival culture locally and protect the safety of tourists who participate for the first time. Local children are still practicing somewhere today. The alumni association of children who went to the city is a festival that gathers every year.
Next to the stuffed bear, "Bear Carnivora Ursidae"
Next to the happi coat, "things used in happi festivals"
I think that it is not a dictionary-like explanation, but a discovery content that can only be written in Satoyama Satoumi of "Noto".
Actually, I asked the curator to write a commentary based on the intention of the exhibition,
The commentary currently on display is different, but the purpose remains the same.
Expression as if you are walking in the air

When walking through Noto's satoyama and satoumi, the bird's-eye view from the mountains to the sea is very pleasant.
I wanted to show this wonderful landscape dynamically in a space unique to a museum.
The combination of front and floor images makes it feel like you are walking in the air with a Takecopter.
Video sharing sites such as YouTube allow you to enjoy wonderful video experiences from around the world anytime, anywhere.
Because it is such an era, you can only experience it at this facility
I want you to enjoy "Noto no Satoyama Satoumi x Drone x Front floor image".
I introduced just a part of the project that started from the site.
I would appreciate it if you could tell me that I was having a lot of fun planning it.
One year has passed since the Noto Satoyama Satoumi Museum opened.
I heard that the number of visitors is steadily increasing.
What made me even happier was
I heard that a local grandpa who had visited once was revisited with his grandson who had returned home.
The museum exhibitions we have planned will spark conversations across generations. it's the best.
Making a museum is fun.
There are as many sites as there are museums.
The site I was in charge of recently
・ Fukui Prefectural Varves Museum ~Museum of Soil Collected at the Bottom of the Lake~
・ Noto Satoyama Satoumi Museum ~Noto Peninsula Satoyama Satoumi Museum~
・ Hida Space Science Museum Kamioka Lab ~Kamiokande and Cosmic Ray Neutrino Science Museum~
・ Hiyoriyama Kaigan Museum-A museum of life in an aquarium with no creatures or stuffed animals-
From the bottom of the lake to outer space, from nature to history. We are challenging a wide variety of themes.
That's why it's interesting every time without running out of curiosity.
Sometimes I challenge researchers to take pictures for the first time in the world, and sometimes I get on a boat with a fisherman.
Also, at one time, you will enter a huge underground facility with a scholar, and at other times, you will be closely involved in the daily life of the keepers.
That's why the world expands every time and it's interesting.
I was surprised at the breadth of the themes, but
I go to the site of any project, scoop up questions, discoveries, and surprises that are lying on the site,
We are giving shape to what we want to convey at the museum.
clients and project members
The process of working together as a team is the best, It's funny.
And I'm going to a new site today.
